The Venture Advisors group at BCBA is seeking exceptional candidates to join our current teams. Work with other top tier multi-institutional colleagues to conduct due diligence on life science & healthcare startups for venture capital clients. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to conduct scientific deep dive, assess market landscape, potentially interact with startup founders, and present key findings to client leadership to help inform investment decisions.

Project Timeline: Early June – early September 2022, 10-12 weeks (with potential for extension)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Graduate or professional students (i.e. PhD, MD, PharmD), postdocs, clinical residents or early industry professionals
• Time commitment is ~10-12 hrs/wk and is volunteer based (unpaid)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Research experience in one or more of the following fields:
  • Oncology and rare diseases (highly preferred)
  • Immunology/microbiology
  • Bioengineering
  • Bioinformatics/computational biology
  • Metabolism and metabolic diseases
  • Therapeutic or medical device development
• Prior experience in due diligence, consulting, market research, business development, or industry is a plus, but not required
