Who you are:
- A graduate/professional student (i.e. PhD, MS, MBA, MD, PharmD), postdoc, or recent graduate
- Enthusiastic about gaining business experience and helping a client identify how to bring their technology to market
- Eager to build communication skills by researching cutting-edge battery technology applications and speaking with leaders in the field
- Interest or experience in some of the following categories: electrochemistry, materials science, electrical engineering, technology development, informational interviewing
- Able to commit 10-15 hours/week as a volunteer
What you will do:
- Work with a seed-stage battery technology company developing a novel electrode material to
replace Lithium ion - Collaborate with the company’s founding team, which includes three leading experts from Caltech, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Boston Consulting Group, and the CTO of a publicly traded battery company
- Analyze high-end, specialty applications markets for the client’s novel battery technology
- Speak with key-opinion leaders (KOLs) from different industries to understand their needs
- Synthesize your analysis into an actionable fundraising plan for potential investors
